WCCO-TV news, also known as CBS Minnesota, is a licensed television station broadcasting the CBS network in the Twin Cities. It is operated and owned by CBS News and Stations division. The station has studios at South 11th Street and Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis. The transmitter is located at Telefarm in Shoreview, Minnesota.
WCCO-TV's programming can also be seen on full-power satellite station KCCW-TV, Walker. Nielsen Media Research considers WCCO-TV (and KCCW-TV) one station in the local ratings books. They use the identifier WCCO+. From 1987 to 2017, WCCO-TV had a second satellite called KCCO-TV in Alexandria.
WCCO is among three network affiliates that are owned and operated in the Twin Cities, along with Fox O&O KMSP TV (channel 9) & MyNetworkTV O&O WFTC.
