Action 24 is a private regional TV channel that operates from the Grava school complex. It broadcasts terrestrial digital via 14 broadcast centers in Attica, Evia, and satellite via the subscription channels of Nova TV and Cosmote TV.
In its infancy, the channel featured mainly music clips (video clips), and telemarketing messages. It became an information station that specialized in the central political scene but also covered local news, mostly in Piraeus. The station's schedule featured a range of newscasts, sports broadcasts, and shows.
It was known as Magic and became the channel for Olympiakos fans. The most popular show Gate (Thira) 7 featured all the latest news from the Olympiakos team with Takis Tsoukalas (an organized fan), comments about the team, and telephone communication with fans. He broadcast all matches for Olympiakos for a while. It broadcasts a variety of sports from around the globe.
Its programming is focused on sports and includes broadcasts of matches. However, it also shows entertainment and information shows such as the Spanish animated series Football Stories and Le Petit Nicolas, which were produced in France.
Skai TV's archive programs (Eat and Fit and Chef on Air and Seven Days of Science), were broadcasted from 2017 onwards when the national station sold programs to the local ones. The co-productions of Skai.gr portal Today and Newsroom were also broadcast at the same time. The newsroom was presented by Niki Lymperaki and features the evening newscast, Sports Live with Antonis Katsaros, and Evening Report with Giorgos Kuvaras. Yiannis Politis hosted the talk show X2 together. Due to the gradual changes in SKAI's programming, the purpose of the program was to frame it with informative broadcasts.
These collaborations ended a year later, with SKAI attempting to set up a new informative station called SKAI 24, which in the end was never created because a television station with a non-informative/entertainment character is expressly prohibited from informational and sports programs, even entertainment shows because they are thematic. The station did however renew its programming with new shows and added foreign series that were produced in Italy.
After the ownership change, the channel broadcasts EFL Cup matches starting August 9, 2022. Telemarketing broadcasts were removed from the program's program for a few decades.
