Canal 13 or El Trece en vivo of Buenos Aires is an Argentina free-to-air television station broadcasting from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. It was founded on October 1, 1960, operating under the license LS 85 TV, and belongs to the company Arte Radiotelevisivo Argentino, owned by Grupo Clarín, since December 22, 1989. It is popularly called "El canal del solcito", due to its logo.
It is the head station of the television network El Trece, which transmits for the whole country by air through its own stations and affiliated stations, which receive the programming of Channel 13 through a signal distributed by satellite. This signal is also available at certain payment operators depending on the locality. In addition, it has an international channel available outside Argentina, called El Trece Internacional, which rebroadcasts the live programming of Channel 13 and replaces the foreign productions broadcast by the station with local productions.
