Al Maghribia live ( المغربية) "La Marocaine" is a Moroccan general television channel belonging to the National broadcasting and television company launched on November 18, 2004.
The programming of this satellite channel consists exclusively of the broadcast and/or the rebroadcast of the best programs of 2M and the TV channels of the SNRT. In particular, television news in French, Spanish, Arabic, and Amazigh and information programs. The channel broadcasts from Morocco via the Hot Bird and Nilesat satellites.
Created on the model of the French channel TV5, Al Maghribia primarily targets the millions of Moroccans living abroad. Its main vocation is to maintain links between Moroccan expatriates and the country.
In January 2014, Abdessamad Bencherif announced that he wanted to make Al Maghribia an international news channel, with the aim of "countering the disinformation carried out by Morocco's opponents and enemies of its interests". The channel changes the resolution to high definition on November 20, 2017.
