Dubai TV is an Emirati general television channel owned by Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI). Very popular in the Arab world, it mixes series, game shows, oriental varieties, cartoons and news bulletins. Major sporting or political events in the Emirates are often broadcast live. It would be the second in terms of advertising revenue after MBC.

Dubai TV began broadcasting in 1979 under the name Emirates Dubai Television. In 1995, it began broadcasting by satellite in Europe, then in North America. Officially renamed Dubai TV on June 14, 2004, it gradually extends its broadcast to Asia and Australia. It is accessible over the air and by cable in the United Arab Emirates, and by satellite (formerly analog, now digital), cable and ADSL in the rest of the world.
