BBC One is the first television channel of the BBC. It was officially opened on 2 November 1936 as BBC Television Service, later shortened to BBC Television and was the first television network in the United Kingdom, as well as the first network in the world to offer a regular broadcast.

Like the rest of the media of the aforementioned corporation, this network is financed exclusively through the television license and its programming is not interrupted by advertising cuts. BBC One stands out for offering a general programming and for its informative programs.
